The Committee of GP North consists of 4 members, who are elected by the membership and confirmed at the Annual General Meeting.

Committee members hold a tenure of 3 years but are eligible for re-election for further terms.

Dr Anne Wilson

BMedSci MBBS DRANZCOG MRACGP FAMA

Dr Anne Wilson graduated BMedSci (1978) MBBS (1981) from the University of Tasmania and attained DRANZCOG (‘Diploma of Obstetrics’) in 1986. Anne worked for 10 years in rural general practice (including GP Obstetrics) in Circular Head before joining her current practice, Summerdale Medical, in 1996. Anne is a member of AMA Tasmania State Council and was the AMA Tasmania representative on the Federal AMA Council of General Practice from 2012-2020. Anne is the Federal AMA representative on the National Immunisation Committee. Anne is also the Editor of the GP Pregnancy Care Record used in Northern Tasmania.

Dr Donald Rose

Dr Rose graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1980 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and had Intern, Resident and Medical Registrar roles at the LGH over 3 years, and then enrolled in the Family Medicine Programme. After a number of hospital and general practice locums along the northwest coast of Tasmania, Dr Rose moved to Circular Head in 1986 with his wife and fellow GP, Anne Wilson, to take over a rural practice from a retiring medical couple. Soon after arriving there, they merged that practice with the other rural practice in the region to establish the Smithton Medical Practice and they also took on VMO roles at the Smithton District Hospital. After 10 years (and having 4 children) they relocated to Launceston where Dr Rose has been a partner at Summerdale Medical Practice since. His initial interests in acupuncture and diving medicine were overtaken by the needs of ageing patients, and now his main focus is in aged care. Dr Rose is active in medical politics and is currently a member of AMA State Council, the Primary Health Tasmania Clinical Advisory Council and the Tasmanian General Practice Forum, Chair of General Practice North Aged Care Advisory Group.

Dr Magnus Agomuo

Dr Agomuo gained a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry before graduating from medical school in 2000 with Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery degrees. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australia College of General Practitioners. Dr Agomuo worked in several different continents before commencing his current work as a rural GP in St Helens Tasmania in 2014 where his responsibilities include caring for residents in the Residential Aged Care Facility and being involved in drug and alcohol disorder management and the provision of emergency services among other duties. He is also involved in the training of medical students, Resident Medical Officers and GP Registrars. He has a special interest in mental health, adolescence health, drug/alcohol and addiction medicine, medical education, Aboriginal health, men’s health and geriatric medicine.

Dr Jehan Phillips

Dr Jehan Phillips is the principal Family Practitioner at First Point Healthcare, Newstead which he established in 2007. Jehan has over 17 years’ experience in all aspects of general practice and has a special interest in general family health, preventive medicine and skin medicine.

Alison Clifford

Financial Controller and Public Officer

Alison has worked in various financial services roles including superannuation, accounting and financial management over the past 20 years. Her extensive financial management experience gained both in Australia and the UK has enabled her to bring a wealth of diverse knowledge and experience to her roles. Prior to moving to Tasmania from Brisbane in 2019, she worked for ten years within the superannuation industry as a Trustee Services Manager and held a position on the Executive Management Team of the then, IFAA Group of Companies. In her role she worked closely with a number of Superannuation Fund Boards to implement the strategic objectives of the Fund, execute the daily operations required to drive successful future outcomes and assist in the development and delivery of their retention and growth strategies.

Alison returned to part-time work in May 2021 within a local General Practice clinic carrying out financial, payroll and administrative tasks. It was through this role that led to Alison accepting the position as the Financial Controller and Public Officer for GP North in November 2021.

Alison has a passion for working with people and believes communication is key in driving successful outcomes across any organisation and client base.

Alison holds a Bachelor of Commerce (The University of Queensland), a Diploma in Superannuation and is RG146 qualified.

Kelly Gregory

Administration Manager

Kelly commenced work with ANZ in 1987 working predominantly in Launceston, except for a 4-year West Coast adventure to ANZ Zeehan / Rosebery. Kelly’s work focus during her 13 years with ANZ was lending, branch management and assisting ANZ’s Premier Customers.

She accepted a redundancy package in 1999 to start a family and during this time she completed a 7-month customer service role at the Telstra Fault Call Centre in Launceston.

Kelly began working at the Summerdale Medical Practice in a part time capacity as a receptionist in 2004. As time became more available Kelly increased her hours and has been in the Assistant Practice Manger position since 2010, gaining a Cert iv in Health Administration in 2012.

In addition to working at Summerdale part time, Kelly commenced as the Administration Manager for GP North in 2021.
